Solids Control Technician

General Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4+ years of Solids Control experience

2. General understanding of Solids Control and a closed-loop system

3. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and site personnel

4. Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be mentally alert at all times

2. Requires strenuous activities including walking, bending, climbing, and lifting a maximum of 50lbs

3. Working in outdoor weather conditions in wet and extreme conditions with extreme cold/heat

Primary Job Functions:

1. Maintain a clean and safe work environment

2. Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures

3. Operate solids control equipment according to supervision working with the mud/fluid engineer

4. Maintain and operate all Solids Control Equipment including but not limited to: Centrifuges, desanders, desilters, dryer shakers

5. Must be knowledgeable in dewatering and barite recovery

6. Maintain accurate service logs, safety documents, and other company required paperwork

7. Assist with rig up/down of solids control equipment

8. Oversee the electrical and mechanical processes that are used to provide enhanced drilling fluid properties and recycle drilling mud/fluid through a closed-loop system

9. Work effectively with diverse personnel and work groups.
