Kinsley Construction is seeking qualified individuals for our growing Building Division to fill various positions including skilled laborers, commercial carpenters, concrete finishers, and equipment operators. Successful applicants should be motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Skilled Laborer
- Measure, cut, and shape various materials like wood and plastic.
- Utilize hand and power tools for construction tasks.
- Fasten materials together using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives.
- Assist in constructing building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames.
- Inspect work for levelness, plumbness, and squareness.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures, including site preparation and clean-up.
Commercial Carpenter
- Use various hand and power tools for construction tasks.
- Install foundations, rebar, and concrete formwork.
- Frame walls and ceilings, finish drywall, and install trim work.
- Set frames, hang doors, and install hardware.
- Ensure completed work meets level, plumb, and square standards.
Concrete Finisher
- Check and set concrete form for proper construction alignment.
- Install reinforcing rebar or mesh wire as needed.
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete using various tools such as straight edges, vibra screeds, walk behind and ride on trowel machines and hand trowels.
Equipment Operator
- Operate backhoe/track hoe for footing excavation.
- Operate skid loader/small dozer to grade and place stone for slab pours/sidewalks.
- Ensure company equipment is maintained and running well by greasing and checking fluids.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of construction.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete a job.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience with carpentry and/or concrete work.
- Proficiency in basic math for material measurement.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, and specifications.
- Capacity to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Physical fitness for tasks involving climbing, lifting, balancing, and handling materials.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Possession of reliable transportation for reaching assigned job sites.
- Skill in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Capability to work in unfavorable weather conditions for extended periods.
- Aptitude for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
