The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate a solid commitment to safety by following the proper industry procedures and wearing appropriate protective equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Use details from written plans and supervisors’ instructions to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns.
• Transport heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly.
• Build steel or iron structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure like a commercial building.
• Ensure proper placement, balance and alignment of structural pieces using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs.
• Transform metal pieces into functional elements that meet the project’s guidelines by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques.
• Access challenging work positions at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper OSHA regulations.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Mig Ticket
• Torch Welding
• Forklift Certification
• 1-3 years of structured steel shop experience
• Entry – C-level qualification
• Ability to pass all types of screening before employment
• Physical endurance to complete the necessary tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
