Shop Diesel Mechanics Needed in Colorado

We are seeking an experienced Diesel mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy construction equipment and on-highway trucks. The goal is to ensure the highest level of safety, effectiveness, and to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe work environment, following all safety policies and procedures.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools, when needed.
• Inspect and operate machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Overhaul and test machinery to ensure optimal operating efficiency.
• Examine parts for damage or wear, repairing or replacing as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and rewire electrical systems.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications:

• Proficient with hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, diagnostic software, and laptop computers.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components (engines, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Strong computer diagnostic skills.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including shift work, overtime, and weekends.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment or on-highway truck maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain adequate tools for the job.

• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, and walking.
