Sheet Metal Worker: Comp Wages, Benefits & Camp

• Use hand and power shears and snips, and light metal-working equipment to cut, drill, punch, bend, and shape sheet metal
• Fasten components together with bolts, screws, rivets, adhesives.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install, sheet metal products and equipment, such as galvanized duct work.
• Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements.

● Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials

● Interpret drawings and blueprints to layout, measure, and mark dimension and reference lines

● Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal

● Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products

● Fasten components using bolts, screws, cement, rivets, adhesives, or alternative methods such as soldering and welding

● Install, service, and repair sheet metal products and ensure quality installations conform to specifications and building codes

● Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs

● Assist structural steel and plate work fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers

● Comply with standards and procedures of industry, Safety Manual, and abide by safety rules set out in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

● Operate a variety of hand tools using safe work practices, always aware of personal and client safety.

● Assist in identifying and preparing proper materials, equipment and tools required for new and existing projects.

● Provide exceptional customer service to clientele while on worksites.

● Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
