Description

  • Travel to the field as appropriate using drawings and schematic(s) to:Perform installation, training, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on but not limited to:OEM & Non-OEM hydraulic and electric Top DrivesOEM & Non-OEM Iron Roughneck systemsOEM & Non-OEM Automated catwalk systemsOEM & Non-OEM Power End’s – Mud, Frac & Cement pumps
  • Read, interpret and follow standard engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials and other written work instructions/procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • May assist in the development of operating procedures for assembled equipment. May provide work direction, mentoring, modeling or training to less experienced technicians or rig personnel. Recommend changes in manufacturing and/or design processes
  • Liaise with supervision regarding quality or procedure problems
  • Has previous exposure of product lines manufactured or serviced by Warrior. Is recognized for being an expert trouble shooter.
  • Performs rework and/or repair work assembling complex equipment and products according to engineering specification or changes.
  • Perform major overhaul in field or shop on various types of equipment
  • Verify quality of product produced in accordance with OEM manufacturing work instructions
  • Complete required documentation in accordance with established safety & quality standards & proceduresFAT, FIT, Commissioning, & onsite installation with customer in the field
  • Work “On call” on a rotational basis; Occasional International travel may be required

Job Requirements

  • Ability to safely navigate drilling work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc. during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather)
  • Ability to travel to visit drilling work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area
  • Lift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to field and operational work areas
  • Frequent use a variety of hand and power tools to perform a range of mechanically oriented functions including independent use of heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools
  • Stay alert and focused including during occasional extended work periods, Clear vision to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch, and report ongoing work activities to coworkers and third parties
  • Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems
  • Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects
  • Follow defined procedures, processes and HSE requirements
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English as well as understand and promptly follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong organizational Skills, utilize a computer and software for communication, reporting and data acquisition
  • Able to read electrical, hydraulic, mechanical schematics & assembly drawings

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 5 + years Shop or Industrial Equipment maintenance experience or equivalent credits
  • Or 4 + year Field maintenance experience in an oil and gas related industry
  • State-issued driver’s license and be eligible to drive a Company vehicle, including ability to meet requirements of Company's Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy

Preferred

  • Millwright, Journeyman Mechanic or Electrician certificate or Trade School Degree
  • Oil & Gas Equipment Installation, Rig up /down experience:Warrior, TDS 11 Top Drives, Iron Roughnecks, Automated Catwalks, Power End

Additional Details:

This position requires the person to work in both office locations and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. 

The Technician will be occasionally exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the drilling operations and rigs are located. The Technician must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. 

Also must be able to work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive situations and be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days; and occasionally nights, weekends and holidays. 

This is a 14/14 schedule.
