Adecco is actively seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our clients team in Corner Brook/Deer Lake, NL. The ideal candidate will provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our retail clients' POS systems and network infrastructure. This role requires flexibility for rotational shifts and travel to customer sites on short notice.
- Pay Rate: $50k-$56k/year.

Responsibilities:
- Perform connectivity and hardware troubleshooting and repair for POS systems.
- Replace and configure scanners, scales, pin pads, printers, and workstations.
- Install, terminate, and troubleshoot UTP, coaxial, and fiber optic cables.
- Install and maintain network infrastructure equipment (switches, routers, servers, etc.).
- Liaise with Help Desk on escalated technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive field reports and documentation as required.
Requirements:
- CompTIA A+ Certification required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT field services or equivalent.
- Experience with POS systems in a retail environment is essential.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, cabling, and network-related issues.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking and remote management software is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
