Rig Hands Hiring in TX: $37/hr, Per Diem

Energy Drilling Company is a privately owned, land drilling contractor based in Natchez, MS. Formed in March of 1979, Energy Drilling Company has been in business for 42 years and currently operates six (6) drilling rigs in North and South Louisiana, East Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Alabama. We are currently looking for Rig Hands to join our team across our entire fleet:

• US Gulf Coast Onshore Region, land only

Duties of Rig Hands commonly include, but are not limited to:

• Follow all safety standards and maintain a positive attitude.
• Enforce and follow company policies, standards, and practices.
• Working with a team and being a team player or team leader.
• Assist in rigging up and rigging down.
• Tripping pipe
• Assemble and disassemble casing and drillpipe sections using hand and power wrenches and tongs.
• Set slips around pipe string at rotary table.
• Operate air hoist.
• Read and record measurements from pressure gauges and other measurement instrumentation found around the rig.
• Mixing and transferring of drilling muds.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the rig.
• Assembly and repair of oil field machinery and equipment.
• Use of power tools and other hand tools.
• Assist in construction of steel derricks.
• Assist in repairs to mud pumps and other drilling machinery
• Be apart of Well Control Team during well control events

Energy Drilling Company hires Rig Hands who have these minimum qualifications:

• 6+ months oilfield experience preferred, but not required.
• A valid driver’s license
• Transportation to and from various rig locations
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Ability to pass a physical exam
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull heavy objects for extended periods of time.

Effective Hourly Rate* by Position

• Trainee.............................................$25.44 per hour
• Floorhand........................................$29.09 per hour
• Motorman.......................................$30.09 per hour
• Derrickhand....................................$32.09 per hour
• Driller................................................$37.09 per hour

* ”Effective Hourly Rate” is the hourly rate including $60 per day Per Diem
