Refinery Heavy Equipment Operator Jobs in CA, $54.15/hr

Valero is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator (Craftperson A) to perform crane operations, equipment maintenance, and support refinery maintenance work. The role offers an hourly wage of $54.15, with overtime eligibility.

Responsibilities:

• Operate cranes and rigging equipment in support of refinery maintenance

• Use various equipment (e.g., forklifts, backhoes, manlifts) for maintenance and operational activities

• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and vehicles

• Document maintenance and operation records in SAP and Microsoft Office

• Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain positive teamwork with staff

• Interpret crane lift plans, schematics, blueprints, and drawings

• Work overtime and be on-call as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum 5 years of crane experience; current swing cab crane license required

• Forklift experience and basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment repairs

• Preferred experience in backhoe/skip loader operation

• Must obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
