Plumber Jobs in Sakatchewan (14/14, Camp, Fly-in)

The Seabee Gold Operation is an underground gold mining and milling operation, located near Laonil Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, approximately 125 kilometers northeast of the town of La Ronge. The Santoy underground mine has been in continuous commercial production since 2014. Commercial production at the Seabee underground mine commenced in 1991 and exhausted Mineral Resources in 2018. All ore is processed at the Seabee mill facility, which has been in operation since 1991.

This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert & La Ronge.

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Site Services this position will be responsible for the preventive & corrective maintenance of the site facilities to ensure they are maintained, upgraded, setup and repaired in a safe and professional manner. As propane is included in the job description, a General Gas Ticket is also necessary.

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage system.
• Installs new piping, plumbing and heating units (propane and oil burning units).
• Hydronic Heating
• Routine facility inspections and preventive/corrective maintenance duties.
• Install, repair and maintain domestic and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Maintain potable water supply system for camp.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
• Maintain a log of daily shift events.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Promote teamwork and cross-cultural relations and understanding.
• Performs job walk downs, risk evaluations, develop task sequencing, capture pertinent details, understand resource and material requirements and document for corrective maintenance.

• Hold a valid Red Seal Journeyperson Plumbing Certification and General Gas Ticket Certification with no restrictions. 
• 5 years of plumbing and/or pipefitting experience.
• HRAI Canada’s Ozone Layer Protection Awareness an asset
• Potable water treatment training and certification an asset.
• Previous related experience working in remote, fly in camp sites.
