Oilfield Welder - Casper, Wyoming

his is a full time position that is responsible for fabricating components, welding defective and broken parts and structural members on drilling rigs, associated equipment, and machinery. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. 

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for:

• Read shop drawings; fabricate accordingly.
• Weld structural steel and pipe in all positions with SMAW.
• Proficient in cutting and welding with oxy-accetelone.
• Shop and fieldwork involved.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

• A high school diploma or equivalent education with two (2) years of specialized technical training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Previous welding experience or equivalent training in welding equipment and technology with rig experience being helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Possession of a valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
