Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Odessa, TX!

Duration: Long term  

Pay: $35.86/hour

Per Diem: None offered at this time. 

Duties

• Candidates will be doing mechanic maintenance work at a Cement Plant.  
• Candidates will be tasked with diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, or overhauling all of the mobile/heavy equipment used on the cement plant facility. (Loaders, dumps, bulldozers, excavators, etc.) 
• Will develop and conduct preventative maintenance for all equipment.  Will create work orders and requisition parts as needed.  
• Will be working under plant supervisor.

Certificates & Licenses

• MSHA is a bonus.  
• Will get familiar with safety policies and procedures, MSHA, LO/TO, ETC.

Working Conditions

• 1st shift work starting at 7AM - 3:30-4:30 PM. 
•  Some weekend work and on calls are mandatory.  

Experience

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic/heavy equipment mechanic
• Previous supervisory exp is a bonus

Basic welding skills

Have all basic hand tools required
