Mig Welder in IL. $16-20/Hr (Long-Term. Paid Vacation)

Trillium Staffing is now looking for a MIG Welder for long-term work!

Job Duties:

• A person must possess the ability to study blueprints, sketches or specifications.• Performs necessary fit up operation in preparation for welding. Generally, welds stock and standard products that may require the use of fixtures.

• MIG welds on products with medium complexity of moving parts and medium tolerances.• Regularly operate robotic welder

• Regularly welds plate thicknesses up to 1/2” and occasionally up to 1.”

• Performs minor assembly periodically.

• Uses the overhead crane to position weldments.

• Maintains a safe work environment — reports of defective tools and equipment.

Hours are 6:30-3pm M-F and the starting pay is $16-20 an hour. If interested, please apply today!

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 years of welding experience.

• Minimum 1 years of fit-up experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency welding up to 3/8”.

• Experience with MIG welding.• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Demonstrated ability to perform layout work for drilling

• Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to use hand plasma and air arc tools.

• Certified for overhead crane and forklift.

• Ability to earn AWS and CWB welding certificates.
