What North American Construction Group is Hiring for:

NACG is looking for a Journeyman (Journeyperson) Electrician to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.


Site:
 

Suncor

Schedule: 

14x14 (rotating days and nights)

Accommodations: 

$15/hour Living Out Allowance

Transportation: 

Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)

Overtime: 

Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours a week

Hourly Rate: 

Up to $57.29 per hour

The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical troubleshooting and repairs on electric haul trucks and other mining equipment
  • Repairs and maintenance of all equipment and support infrastructure

Specific Requirements:

  • Experience on Komatsu 830 / 930 or other electric haul trucks required.
  • Construction/Mining experience required

Qualifications:

  • Construction/Mining experience Alberta or Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician

Summary:

All successful candidates must:

  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  • Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  • Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
  • Breath Alcohol Test
  • Urine Drug Test
  • Fitness-to-Work Assessment
  • Audiometric Testing
  • Vision Screening
  • Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

  • CSO or BSO Certification
  • Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
  • VOID cheque/direct deposit form
  • Silica Awareness

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

  • Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
  • An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
  • After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
