What Ledcor is Hiring for:

Ledcor is seeking Heavy equipment operators with experience for earthworks on the BHP Jansen project name across Saskatchewan. Working with Ledcor offers competitive wages, growth opportunities and a strong commitment to safety.

Work Conditions:

Shift based position with 14 days on and 7 days off, working 10 hours per day
Travel allowance provided for those that qualify (proof of residency required)
Private site based camp accommodations provided

Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions

Responsibilities:

Multi skilled in the following – Excavator, Dozer and/or Grader
GPS Excavator cutting ditches and grading slopes
GPS Dozer finishing for crowning roads and laydowns
Effectively and safely operates equipment, utilizing machine specific controls and machine attachments.
Operates in crowded, fast-paced working environments, and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety.
Interprets verbal and non-verbal communication (including hand signals) from operators, ground personnel and acts accordingly.
Performs mechanical inspections and servicing including controls and operations, completing logbooks, performs maintenance and adjustments, ensures good housekeeping, and performs machine lubrication.
Recognizes existing and potential hazards and knows how to identify these through conducting a field level pre-job hazard analysis, checking the machine for hazards and assessing any tasks before start.

Requirements

Must have 3+ years previous experience in on heavy civil / earthworks projects
Excavator, Grader and Dozer operators must have finishing experience
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing and criminal background check
