Welder (Odessa, Texas) 

 

Primary purpose:

The Welder is responsible for welding tasks associated with fabricating vessels, amine treating, glycol dehydration, and natural gas stabilization skid-mounted equipment and piping to conform with specifications and certification requirements Essential duties and responsibilities:Works in a safe and conscientious manner to ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow crew membersCuts and/or joins metal parts in order to fabricate pipe, vessels, and structural skids and other equipment using tools such as plasma cutter, submerged arc welding, MIG welder, TIG welder, and oxyacetylene weldingLayout, cut, fit and otherwise prepares material for weldingFabricate material from piping schematics and other drawingsDemonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches or verbal instructions to determine welding requirementsCandidate will set up components for welding according to specifications, and prepare product and parts to be welded (e.g. cut, grind, etc.)Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as neededComplete appropriate documentation and paperworkDemonstrate performance toward operational excellencePerform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirementsIdentify report and correct safety and environmental concernsPerform other duties as assignedThis will be a "single hand" positionAll equipment will be company furnished

Position Requirements

Minimum requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience / specific knowledge:A minimum of 3-5 years of working knowledge and experience as a welderKnowledge of basic properties of metals Certifications, licenses, registrations:Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirementsAchieve and maintain all qualifications and progression requirements applicable to the job classificationMaintain individual welding qualification and certifications per requirements Competencies, skills, and abilities:Submerged arc welding experienceVessel layout experienceSMAW welding experienceGTAW welding experiencePlasma table, C&C, light wall and heavy wall experienceBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)Job planning and organization skillsExperience reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches and other diagramsGood verbal and written communications skillsBe customer focusedMust be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rulesMentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself Physical demands:Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions Must be able to frequently:Enter confined spacesClimb to and work from elevated platforms, climb vertical access ladders, stairwells and walkwaysMust be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions, and 50 pounds from floor to waistMust be able to carry up to 50 pounds Working conditions: May be required to carry a company-provided communication device and be available to respond during working and non-working hoursDepending on location and workload, travel may be requiredMust be available for shift work when applicable. 

 

Roustabout (Odessa, Texas) 

 

Primary Purpose:

The Roustabout is responsible for performing tasks associated with manufacturing amine treating, glycol dehydration, and natural gas stabilization skid-mounted equipmentResponsible for supporting operations including repairing, maintaining and transporting equipment and parts as needed Essential duties and responsibilities:Works in a safe and conscientious manner to ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow crew membersWorks under the direct supervision of the Roustabout Supervisor to carry out all assigned job dutiesTrain and possible relief assignments for more specific operations and maintenance positions with increasing experienceAssist senior level employees with general activitiesAssist senior level employees performing specific tasks related to the efficient fabrication of equipmentAssist in fabrication of piping and structural steel of building of amine and dehy unitsInstall and repair piping, valves, pumps and motorsPerform general ground work around well sitesKeeps facilities and tools clean and organizedProvide support for welders and pipefitters as neededOperate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipmentReports any irregularities or safety hazards to supervisor

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience / specific knowledge:Knowledge of P&IDs and piping installationFamiliarity with waste minimization practicesStrong mechanical aptitudePrior experience as a laborer working with various tools and equipmentTrain with shop personnel to develop working knowledge of amine treating, glycol dehydration, and natural gas stabilization skid-mounted equipment Competencies, skills, and abilities:Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyMust be able to work overtime with little or no advance noticeEffective interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong safety and environmental awareness necessaryAbility to work with a team, take directions from supervisors, keep required work schedule, and follow company policies and proceduresAbility to perform work with minimal or no supervisionMust be proficient with hand and power tools and heavy equipmentPreferred but not required experience:1 or more years of fabrication or plant experienceCertified to operate light cranes and or forkliftClass A CDL Working conditions: Must be able to work in extreme weather conditionsOvertime is anticipatedMust be able to walk, bend, stoop, stand, climb and lift up to 70 lbs. for extended periods of timeMust be able to perform tasks requiring physical agility and manual dexterity Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets.
