Journeyman Service Electrician (Calgary): $42.00 Per Hour

Photon Electric is looking for a Licensed Journeyman Service Electrician who have excellent communication skills and the ability to learn rapidly and adapt to a variety of job settings. SUMMARY

The Service Electrician is a motivated, organized, and personable individual willing to contribute his/her experience and expertise in the field. Works alongside the Field Operations Supervisor, to complete the execution of the upcoming projects, service calls, and troubleshooting + repairs. The Service Electrician is a team player and a vital member of Photon’s Service Solutions Team. Communication, organization and accuracy are key factors with respect to safety, correspondence, and performance.

We expect that the Service Electrician can work independently and within a team environment and be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing for Electrical, Controls and Fire Alarm System
• Service work, Inspections and repairs on fire alarm and electrical systems / equipment.
• Complete daily work orders assigned in through Photons’ Project Management Software.
• Read, understand and accomplish items listed on Engineered drawings.
• Installation, verification and testing of systems.
• Work with junior technicians to provide learning and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in Photons “On-Call” scheduled rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Endorsement with minimum of 5 years commercial experience.
• Ability to handle physical workload
• High competency level and understanding of Fire Alarm installations and services.
• High competency level in electrical troubleshooting.
• High competency level with technology and typical mobile office applications.
• Must be comfortable preparing daily job reports on a mobile device.
• Must be comfortable completing safety documentation on a mobile device.
• Comfortable working at heights
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
• Driver's License with clean driving record
• Must be fluent in English
• Must be able to pass criminal background check
• Must be willing to complete a Government of Canada personnel screening
• Master Electrician considered an asset.

Schedule:

• Standard business hours are 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. At times technicians will work early or stay late.
• On call rotation
• Overtime as needed
