Position Overview: As a Maintenance Millwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and adjusting machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, such as bearings, gears, belts, and valves, using hand and power tools.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a millwright apprenticeship program or relevant technical training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Millwright in an industrial setting, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support production schedules.
