Currently we are looking for Iron Workers for various project throughout Alberta. Please note this job posting will be used to fill future vacancies (the anticipated start date for the upcoming projects is, January 2, 2023).

Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints and specifications.
  • Unload and stack steel.
  • Assemble rigging such as cablers, pulleys and hooks.
  • Install scaffolding, as required.
  • Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures.
  • Physically capable of performing all tasks required of field Ironworkers.
  • Build steel erection for structural steel building and structural steel panelization.
  • Bolt up and impacting.
  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the lay out of work
  • Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts.
  • Heavy lift, rigging and setting of building modules.
  • Ensures the safety of the crew, equipment, and environment.

Requirements:

  • Successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Valid Journeyperson Structural Ironworker certification.
  • CSTS-09 or CSTS-20 / WHMIS 2015.
  • Valid Fall Protection Certificate.
  • Physically capable of performing all tasks required of field Ironworkers
  • Invested in a safety-oriented work environment.
  • An interest in welds, welding, structural ironwork, construction, Ironworker, welder, welding, structural ironworker, welder apprentice, construction, ironworkers.
