Pipefitter Journeypersons for the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta.  

Shift: Day or Night 

Schedule: 7/7 working 11.5 hours per day

Accommodations: LOA/Camp

Travel Details: Fly to and from site

Working Conditions:

Position: Temporary 

Duration: 16 weeks on a 7/7 maintenance schedule 

Overtime is paid for all hours worked over 8 hours per day and over 40 hours per week.  

Rate Increase: CLAC has increased rates for the CNRL Horizon site and new rates are effective January 1, 2023.

Pipefitter Journeyperson Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
• Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.
• Follow various Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified Pipefitter Journeyperson.
• CSTS 09 or Common Safety Orientation
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
• Basic Rigging.
