What Paladin is Hiring for:

Security Supervisor

Site: Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Toronto, ON

Status: Full-Time

Hours: TBD

Pay Rate: $25.50/hr.

Training

  • Successful candidates will undergo mandatory 5-day virtual and in-class training at our Etobicoke office.

Requirements:

  • Valid Immunization Record (Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2) required prior to onboarding.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of 2 doses (proof required).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise the activities and performance of Security Guards assigned to the facility.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing training.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Plan and implement shift work schedules.
  • Motivate staff, issue commendations, and manage discipline when necessary.
  • Perform security audits and document and investigate incidents and complaints.
  • Provide proactive and reactive security patrols.
  • Communicate concerns/issues with the Client Service Manager.
  • Work 12-hour shifts, conducting security patrols and responding to incidents.
  • Write reports and investigate routine incidents.
  • Monitor and escalate security concerns within the Emergency Department.
  • Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques and collaborate with local Law Enforcement and Emergency Services.

Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid (WSIB-Approved) First Aid and CPR Level-C Certification.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in English (both oral and written).

Pre-employment

  • Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check upon offer of employment.
