Small Tool Mechanic

Location: Burnaby, BC

Pay: Competitive

Position: Full time

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair of equipment, including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic system
• Execute day to day tasks under the direction of the Equipment Maintenance Lead
• Maintain parts inventory and place orders
• Inventory items to the designated areas for storage and or deployment
• Keep service records, log maintain and record service history.
• Maintain the administration of the preventative maintenance program.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in a maintenance or mechanical type roles

• Experience operating forklifts, pallet movers and other material handling equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely lift 55lb on a regular basis

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of two and four-stroke engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and welding techniques
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to multi-task and work on equipment in inclement weather
• Ability to take initiative and work effectively while unsupervised
• Basic electrical knowledge and fundamentals
• Familiarity with MS office applications. ex/ Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Pre-employment

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (Class 5 minimum)
• Must meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements

• Full-time position working 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed
