Savard is hiring Heavy Equipment Operator near Kenner, LA

Job Scope/Duties:

  • Operating machinery around ground personnel
  • Operating machinery in tight areas
  • Grade areas (Blue Top / Finish grade) without GPS
  • Excavate, distribute, and level material, earth, or terrain.
  • Material Handling
  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Equipment inspections and damage reporting
  • Greasing
  • Fueling
  • Attend jobsite safety meetings

Experience:

  • Must have 2 years experience as a heavy equipment operator, operating Bulldozers, Excavators, Skid Steers, Front-end loaders, Backhoes, Tractors and Forklifts
  • Must have experience with trenching, digging utilities, earth work, shaping levees and demolition

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Pass Pre-employment Assessments (includes BGC, drug test, & physical)Punctual and reliable
  • Driver’s license
  • TWIC card
  • steel toe work boots
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to work in all weather

Shifts/Hours: M-F  6:30 am - 4:00 pm some weekends45-50 hrs per week

Pay $26.00-$28.00 DOE up to $1540 weekly with 50 hours
