Summit Air is hiring a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic based in Vancouver, BC, to maintain and repair aircraft ground support equipment. This hands-on role includes both mechanical work and mentorship of apprentices. Ideal candidates are certified Heavy Duty Mechanics with strong troubleshooting skills and aviation equipment experience.

What you’ll need:

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certification (preferred)
Experience in aviation ground support equipment (asset)
Strong fabrication and diagnostic skills
Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

What will make you stand out:

Ability to coordinate maintenance solo or in a team
Strong written and verbal communication
Knowledge of maintenance tracking systems and vendor management
