Heavy Duty Mechanic

APE Maintenance is seeking an experienced Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Off Road) to work with COMPANY field service truck.

This position is located in Fort McMurray AB

Shift: 3 days on, 3 nights on (12 hours) x 6 days off

Qualifications Required:

• Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic - Off Road
• Valid Driver's License/Clean Driver's Abstract
• A minimum of 4 years field experience troubleshooting/repairing Wiggle Wagons, Dozers, 12 - 14H Graders, & Various Excavators, Loaders, Skid Steers, Backhoes, Rollers, Forklifts and Telehandlers
• Safety training prerequisites: CSTS 09/ OSSA or BSO / CSO, Basic Rigging, Overhead Crane
• Able to work independently and as part of a professional maintenance team

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Provide technical diagnosis and perform maintenance on various makes and models of medium size mining equipment;
• Perform equipment maintenance according to OEM, standards, procedures and practices set out by industry and APE Maintenance;
• Recording information related to maintenance repairs and work completed
• Communicate updates to supervisor to ensure goals are met;
• Report all incidents, damage and near misses immediately;
• Other duties as assigned.
