What You’ll Like About This Job

These are skilled trades roles supporting Suncor’s Fort Hills project near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Jardeg Construction is hiring both Welders and Pipefitters for short-term outage/turnaround projects. Ideal candidates will have journeyperson certification, safety tickets, and be prepared to work 12-hour shifts in a remote camp environment. Travel and accommodations are covered by the employer. These roles are perfect for experienced tradespeople seeking intensive, short-term contract work in industrial maintenance.

What you’ll need:

  • Journeyperson Certification (Welder or Pipefitter)
  • CWB and B-pressure certification (Welders)
  • CSO or BSO
  • ESC Fall Protection and Confined Space
  • Overhead Crane & Rigging
  • Aerial Work Platform (Welders)
  • Class 5 Driver’s License and clean abstract
  • Relevant welding/pipefitting test certifications

What will make you stand out:

  • Red Seal certification
  • Multiple process welding tickets (SMAW, FCAW)
  • Familiarity with Suncor site requirements
