Stuart Olson is searching for Journeyperson Structural Ironworkers & Pipefitters for Fly-in work at CNRL Horizon!
Pipefitters:
Stuart Olson is searching for certified Pipefitters to join us for our 2023 turnaround at the CNRL Horizon site. This job provides the opportunity to earn above average pay with overtime. Camp accommodations include jack and jill rooms for an elevated stay.
Flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary for locals and for those traveling from out of province we will provide a generous travel allowance to get you to Alberta.

Schedule: Pre-turnaround schedule of 4 days on, 3 days off, OR 10 days on, 4 days off, 10 hours per day.
Turnaround schedule starting May 15, 6 days on, 1 day off, 12 hours a day. Day and night shifts available.
Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary. Generous travel allowances are provided for those travelling from out of province.
Accommodations: Camp accommodations provided (Jack and Jill rooms)
Compensation: Competitive wages, Overtime, Vacation Pay, DSP’s available for all positions
Responsibilities:
-
Maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
-
Maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
-
Hydro test and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
-
Heat exchange and pressure vessel maintenance
-
Responsible for blinding and deblending process equipment
-
Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

Utilizing torque equipment
-
Read and interpret client and company supplied blueprints and ISO’s
-
Maintain safe work practices by participating in all Stuart Olson HSE procedures and processes
Qualifications:
-
Journeyman or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket
-
H2S Alive
-
Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS 09 and WHMIS
-
Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
-
Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
-
Able to work under SBA mask preferred
-
Rigging experience considered an asset
-
Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing

Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions

Stuart Olson is searching for Journeyperson Structural Ironworker to join us for a new and exciting opportunity at our CNRL Horizon site. This job provides stability and long-term employment, with the opportunity to be home half of the year.
Camp accommodations and flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary. Work with a team that values safety, fair compensation, and employee experience.
Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 11 hours per day (Long-term maintenance)
Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary

Responsibilities:

Synthesizing information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the needed amounts for a project
-
Using details from written plans and instructions from supervisors in order to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns together
-
Transporting heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly
-
Building steel structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure like a commercial building, a bridge, a highway, or other public works project
-
Ensuring proper placement, balance, and alignment of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs
-
Transforming metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques
-
Accessing challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper provincial regulations
Qualifications:

Journeyperson Ironworker ticket
-
*Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) welders ticket will also be considered

Apprentice ID

H2S Alive, Mandatory
