What You’ll Like About This Job

North American Construction Group is hiring Dozer and Excavator Operators for the Kearl Project near Fort McMurray, Alberta. These are fly-in/fly-out union positions with 14/14 rotations, camp accommodations, and charter flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary. Operators will support mining production activities on one of Canada’s largest and safest contracts.

$55.42 – $58.16 per hour (blended rate, no overtime)
$1.20/hr night shift premium
Flights from Edmonton or Calgary
Camp accommodations and bussing from Fort McMurray

Full benefits and pension after 400 hours
Union membership (IUOE Local 955)
PPE provided (except steel-toed boots)
Growth potential on long-term contracts

What you'll need:

Minimum 2–3 years operating Excavators (870 or larger) or Dozers (D9–D11)
1+ year mining experience preferred
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and recent Driver’s Abstract
CSO and Wildlife Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
Ability to excavate grade/slope (Excavator) or support shovels (Dozer)
Comfortable working in muskeg/soft ground (Dozer)
Pass pre-employment testing: drug, alcohol, fitness-to-work, audiometric, vision
Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
High school diploma or GED preferred
