Pipefitter Role

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.   
• Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation, as required.   
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.   
• Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.   
• Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.   
• Maintain and repair of piping systems.   

Requirements

• Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification.
• Valid and up-to-date safety tickets
• Experience with hydro testing, tank vessels, or flang management is considered an asset.
• Enjoy a varied workload.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
