This role involves ensuring fire safety in an active shipyard environment by monitoring welding and other hot work tasks. Candidates must remain alert and on-site to prevent hazards and comply with fire protocols. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious and experienced with industrial or shipyard settings.

What you’ll need:

  • Prior firewatch or shipyard experience (preferred)
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods and working in high-heat, confined spaces

  • Ability to use fire extinguishing equipment
  • Willingness to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime

What will make you stand out:

  • Familiarity with shipyard safety rules
  • Previous work in industrial or shipyard settings
  • Certification or formal training in firewatch or hot work monitoring
