Field Operators Needed in TX $230.00 - $670.00 per day

The MWD Field Operator is expected to have a thorough understanding of measurement-while-drilling principles and how to apply them. Key duties include tool preparation and maintenance, data acquisition, log generation, quality control. The MWD Operator should be able to operate at least one product line with minimal supervision, respond to client inquiries and train more junior operators.

The job duties herein describe essential functions of the position. Additionally, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the success of the position. The individual should be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodations.

Essential Functions

• Lead at least one company product service line with minimal supervision.
• Deliver real time or recorded data of MWD/LWD services (Survey Calculation Reports, Gamma Ray Data Logs) during drilling as per client requirements.
• Train and supervise junior field operators in day-to-day MWD operations.
• Provide quality answers and solutions to clients' questions, requests, and problems.
• Conduct pre-job planning, mobilization, installation of surface sensors, assembly/configuration/testing tools and all rig-up activities to ensure all equipment is working properly before performing the job.
• Maintain and organize tool/equipment run records, daily chronological reports, end-of-well reports, client invoices, and shipping tickets.
• Assist in ensuring company assets on location are maintained in good working order and are protected from damage, and in ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are always present at well sites.
• Perform trouble-shooting, evaluation and maintenance on field equipment and preparing detailed reports when problems arise.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner, observing all company rules and government regulations.
• Understand and comply with all company or external quality standards relevant to position.
• Promote and adhere to all company HSE policies and practices.
• Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years running MWD.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Available to work at multiple sites for extended periods of time.
• Available to be on-call 24 hours a day seven days per week.
• Able to use basic hand tools.
• Valid driver's license.
