Equipment Operator

Location: Calgary, AB

Sector: Construction

Salary: $30 to $36/ hour

Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in construction 
• Hoisting & rigging Experience 

• Experience using an Excavator, Skid Steer, Backhoe, Ride on Compactors, and Bulldozer 
• Ground Disturbances training 

Competencies

• Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment 
• Knowledgeable in civil construction 
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients. 

• Trenching requirements & Safety procedures 

Certificates & Licences

• Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 3 with air an asset. 

Responsibilities 

• Operation of varying mechanical equipment  

• Ensuring every team member gets home safely. 
• Review and understand corporate policies/procedures. 
• Review and understand project schedule/milestones. 
• Provide afterhours support to crews as needed. 
• Coordinate day to day work scope with Foreman 

• Coordinate day to day equipment needs. 
• Day to day maintenance of equipment and reporting issues to Foreman 
• Coordinate with Foreman to ensure that client needs are being met or exceeded. 
• Identify potential project scope change to Foreman.  

Pre-employment

• D&A Testing and a background check is a mandatory requirement of this position.
