What Cameco Corporation is Hiring for:

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, Reliability, as a key member of the Reliability team, you will support Cameco’s transition into a High Reliability Organization by performing Asset Maintenance Strategy Optimization, Root Cause Analysis, developing Risk Mitigation Plans, minimizing Asset Life Cycle Cost, Supporting the Loss Elimination Process, performing Preventive Maintenance Optimization, including the implementation into Bentley APM. Technically, this is a corporate office position, however, you will be given the flexibility to either work from head office, home or on sites. 

Requirements of the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 4-8 years of experience in reliability of electrical assets, preferably in process or mining operations
  • Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)

Assets:

  • Professional designations such as CMRP, MMP, CRE, PMP, SIX Sigma, LEAN or RCM facilitation
  • Familiarity with various fields of electrical engineering, including high and medium voltage installations, electrical system modelling (ETAP), feasibility studies and the application of CSA M421
  • Experience in the mining or heavy industry
  • Experience in power distribution systems including MCC, VFD, medium voltage motors, starters
  • Experience with instrumentations, including valves & monitoring devices
  • Background in testing electrical devices such as battery systems, Transformers, cables & breakers
  • Experience in Bentley AssetWise APM software use and administration
  • Experience in RCA, FMEA, RCM, FMEA, PM or Pd.M. industry best practices
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities against aggressive deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
