Reporting directly to the Plant Electrical Engineer, the Electricians
responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- This position will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install
electrical/electronic systems within this high-speed metal packaging
manufacturing facility.
- Responsibilities include following all local, state, and federal electrical codes.
- Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment, operation, and safety precautions.
- Responsibilities also include installing and maintaining new and
existing electrical wiring within the facility as well as working safely
at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of electrical shop and job sites, while practicing appropriate safety procedures.
- Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion
and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. This
position may also require climbing or balancing.

- Highly motivated, self-directed, worker that can work autonomously in a fast paced and often loud production environment.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lockout / tagout, low voltage electrical to 480V AC).
- PLC programming
required; Multiple platforms such as Allen Bradley PLC5, Control Logix,
HMI, and Servo Drive programming and troubleshooting experience
preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six sigma analysis) and propose and implement remedies.
- Strong computer
skills required; Microsoft Office proficiency as well as Computerized
Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred.
- Experience in computer networking (routers, Ethernet, switches, etc.) preferred.
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of current electrical codes
- Knowledge of all electrical systems and components
- Knowledge of National Electric Code
- 480 V MCC troubleshooting
- Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
- Ability to
troubleshoot and re-wire high speed and/or highly automated equipment
such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Medium voltage load centers and metal clad operation and troubleshooting up to 38 KV
- Understanding and use of current NFPA electrical codes
- AS Electrical Engineering preferred, but not required.
- Journeyman license preferred but not required
- Minimum 3+ year’s industrial electrical/programming experience or two-year technical degree strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma, GED preferred, but not required.
