Construction Labourer
What Apeiron Resources Ltd is Hiring for:
As a Construction Labourer you will be operating and maintaining various machines, loading and unloading heavy materials frequently and assisting with cleanliness and organization of the construction site. You will be reporting to the Site Supervisor. To do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable, and a hard worker.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
· Complying with Apeiron Resources Safety Program and relevant Safety Legislation.
· Reporting incidents or near-miss incidents immediately to the Site Supervisor.
· Supporting equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
· Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
· Handling and transporting construction materials.
· Assemble and dis-assemble temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
· Remove, fill, or compact earth.
· Follow instructions from Site Supervisors.
· Assist craft workers.
· Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
· Perform site clean-up.
· Completing other tasks as assigned.
Training and Requirements
· Minimum 6 months of construction-related experience.
· 3-year Driver's Abstract and access to reliable vehicle.
· Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and situational awareness of the physical work environment.
· Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
· Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
· Ability to work in all weather.
· Pipeline Construction Safety Training.
· Standard First Aid Level C AED.
· WHMIS 2015.
· Ground Disturbance Level 2.
· H2S Awareness.
· Bear Awareness.
· Any employee that will be driving an Apeiron vehicle will require Defensive Driving.
· Proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
· Workers must be punctual and reliable, have stamina, ability to follow instructions and a commitment to safety.
· Required to pass Fit Test.
Work Environment
Selected Candidates will work onsite and must have the ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Apeiron Resources Ltd. policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
Employment may be contingent upon receipt of an acceptable and job-related background check, drug and alcohol test, and/or reference check, as applicable and permissible by law.
Preference will be given to qualified Indigenous nation members and citizens however all are eligible to apply.
