What Broadstreet Properties is Hiring for:

The Commissioning Team Lead based out of Calgary works closely with the Turnover Coordinator, Project Coordinators, and Commissioning Technicians to complete the commissioning of new and operational properties to ensure all aspects meet Broadstreet Properties standards. Within this role, commissioning is defined as the process of setting up the rental office and buildings for occupancy at turnover from Seymour Pacific to Broadstreet Properties. There are a number of commissioning and maintenance tasks that are carried out by the Commissioning Team Lead which require precision and attention to detail to ensure the building turning over supports the brand and operational targets. 

Your contributions to the team include:

  • Ensure commissioning tasks are complete, on time, on budget, and overseeing items until completion as per company standards
  • Work with the Turnover Coordinator to maintain schedules for commissioning team
  • Ensure proper resources are allocated to each commissioning task
  • Educate and train all commissioning functions and tasks to commissioning team
  • Audit all sites during commissioning to ensure desired scope, quality, and schedules are met
  • Support the Project Coordinators with the execution of the scope of work within commissioning schedule and timelines
  • Notify Turnover Foreman of any risks or challenges during the commissioning tasks
  • When not completing commissioning, regional property maintenance and other related project tasks will be assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • Successful completion of a Building Maintenance Worker program or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the rental management industry
  • Carpentry experience considered an asset
  • Mechanically inclined with experience using hand tools
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong leadership and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
