CNC Machinist Level 4-Adv. Machine Set Up Operator. $20.00/HR

Level 4 CNC Machinist in Lubbock, TX. 

Working Conditions:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

Job Details:

• Perform advanced set ups, troubleshoot part and program issues and operate CNC  machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials.
• Proficient understanding of measuring instruments.
• Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Ability to perform advanced set ups (complex parts or new programs) and operate CNC lathes or mills with no assistance.
• Must be proficient with FANUC controls.
• Must have ability to recognize, understand and properly use cutting tools.
• Properly identifies use of inserts, grades, chip formers, fixtures and tooling.
• Understands and has the ability to perform geometry & tool wear offsets and program edits including tool path changes.
• Ability to create, use and adjust advanced programming (subroutines and macro programming, etc.).
• Proficient at understanding and have the ability to follow all manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Utilizes and abides by all ISO requirements and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• To perform this job satisfactorily, must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Strong attention to detail and concern of importance.
• Ability to understand complex mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
• Five years minimum experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
