Our Calgary branch is currently seeking a Certified Red Seal Journeyman Millwright to join our Service Team. We’re looking for knowledgeable, experienced, and highly motivated individuals who have great work ethic and enjoy working in a team-focused environment. This job has a high degree of out-of-town work with a fluid schedule. Employees are members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment issues both in-shop and at customer sites
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
• Comprehension of conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
• Detailed inspection of conveyor systems
• Precision measurement, using mechanical, digital and ultrasonic methods
• Assemble machinery prior to installation - bearings, couplings, shafts etc.
• Start-up and testing
• Understand and read Engineered Blueprints and drawings
• Shutdown operations
• Rigging and handling
• Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition
• Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner
• Responsible time management
• Accurate documentation of work and timelines
• Experience with conveyor belts is an asset

Job Requirements:

• Journeyman Certificate in the Millwright trade
• 5+ years of experience in the industry
• Great attitude
• Strong rigging experience
• Must be able to work with minimal direction
• Clean drivers abstract, established insurance history in Canada – minimum 3 years no at-fault claims
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
• Willingness and ability to travel and work in remote locations
