8 Contractors Hiring 4500 Jobs at Chevron Plant Expansion in TX (+ Job Fair)

As reported by a story earlier this year by EJS Chevron Phillips Chemical and its energy partner in the Middle East have chosen Orange County Texas for one of the largest new petrochemical projects in years.

The story suggests that the plant - valued at $8.5 billion - is expected to create about 4,500 construction jobs.

8 contractors have been announced along with a job fair scheduled for June 24th.

Contractors include:

BMZ Third Coast Partners, a joint venture between Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc. and Zachry Industrial, Inc., (Zachry) – Utilities and infrastructure scope of work.

JKJV, a joint venture between JGC America, Inc. and Kiewit Energy Group, Inc. – Engineering procurement and construction for the additional portions of the ethane cracker;

T.EN Stone & Weber Process Technology, Inc. – Engineering and procurement for the furnace portion of the ethane cracker; PCL Industrial Construction Co. – Construction services for the furnace portion of the ethane cracker.

W.T. Byler Co., Inc. – management of heavy civil work for the entire site, as well as engineering, procurement and construction services for a rail and storage-in-transit yard; and

ZDJV, a joint venture between Zachry and DL USA, Inc. – Engineering, procurement and construction of the polyethylene units.
