• Experience operating tractor trailers or highway passenger bus/school bus.

• At least two years’ experience within the past five years in the operation of a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to: Dump Truck, Front End Loader, Bulldozer, Backhoe, Excavator or Grader.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

• Possession of a valid DZ Driver’s License without restrictions from the province of Ontario or other provincial or territorial equivalent
• Must be able and available to work shift work, weekends, overtime, and stand by as required and sometimes on short notice
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a valid departmental driver’s licenses (DND 404)
• Able to safely perform a variety of physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 30 kg, climbing ladders, working on uneven surfaces, and sitting for periods of 4-5 hours on a daily basis
• Must be able to travel within the Province of Quebec and Ontario and across Canada.
• Current and up-to-date driver's abstract from the candidate's provincial transportation authority showing evidence of a satisfactory and safe driving record for the last three years.
