Job Description

You will assist a machine operator position, which involves fusing products used in geotechnical applications like erosion control. Your tasks will include inspecting for quality defects, loading rolls into machines, directing forklift operators, cutting material, loading textiles onto new rolls, and affixing labels to finished products. Expect to use a counterbalance forklift occasionally and stand for long periods.

Hard Skills

1+ years production or warehousing experience
Forklift certified (counterbalance), 6+ months experience
Able to lift 20+ lbs repetitively

Soft Skills

Reliable transportation (transit is not always accessible based on the shift schedules)
Able to stand on their feet for extended periods of time

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Edmonton, Alberta.

Work Environment

3on/4off, 4on/3off schedule with shifts from 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am, rotating between day and night every few weeks. Overtime is calculated after 80.5 hours in a week. The work location is in NW Edmonton. You will work in a bright, well-lit environment where safety is a priority, and hearing protection is provided due to loud machines. You will be part of a small team of 2-3 people operating state-of-the-art manufacturing machines.
