What GenMec ACL is Hiring for:
Genmec ACL is currently recruiting Journeyman Carpenter's to join our team at the Imperial Kearl Oilsands site.
The successful candidate will:
- Have ability to interpret blueprints, sketches or building plans
- Prepare layouts and patterns using measuring tools, including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work to measure and mark materials on new installs
- Repair and maintain doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings and exteriors of buildings
- Build shelves, cabinets and other wooden equipment
- Other duties that may be deemed necessary for maintenance work.
Requirements:
- Required tickets: H2S Alive, CSTS, 1st Aid, Fall Arrest AWP
- Class 5 Alberta driver’s license
- Must be team orientated, highly motivated with strong attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts)
- Must be physically capable of performing tasks (lifting, bending, etc.)
Work Conditions:
- 14 on / 14 off 11.5 hour continuous shift rotation cycle
- Fly in / fly out with flights from Calgary or Edmonton. Travel to and from the travel hub is at your own expense.
