20 Fly-in Welders Needed for Camp Job: $120/hr, 10/4 Rotation

Phoenix Industrial are looking for B Pressure/RIG Welders for projects in the Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Region!

Project Specifics:

• Drive-in and Fly- out
• Edmonton and Calgary hubs
• Flight travel assistance available for travelers living outside of Alberta for turnaround from April 4 to June 30th.
• Currently Days and Nights
• 10 days on and 4 days off
• 10 Hours per day until turnaround then 12 hour days
• Project located North of Fort McMurrary
• Camp accomodations

What you bring:

• Read and interpret blueprints and other written instructions 
• Perform SMAW, TIG and other types of weld process 
• Effectively utilizing Preheat temperature as stamped on drawing
• Field install welds, including position Welds, Confined environment etc
• Monitor the fitting, burning & welding processes to avoid overheating parts, components, shrinking, distortion & expansion of materials
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
• Select proper fillers material for the application based on project instructions
• Organize and keep work area & equipment clean & functional
• Inspect all finished parts to ensure compliance with all regulations, adjust and repair as needed

Requirements:

• B Pressure
• Successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Valid Alberta Welder Journeyman or Red Seal Certification
• 3-5 years Industrial welding experience
• Pre-employment Weld Test required
• Carbon (F3/F4) and/or Stainless (F6/F5) Welder Qualification
• Valid Drivers License / vehicle insurance
• Able to pass Vehicle Inspection requirements
• CSTS-09 / WHMIS 2015 / H2S Alive
• Invested in a safety-oriented work environment
